FAQ

To serve you better, we've assembled a list of our customers' most frequently asked questions. If you don't find your answer here, feel free to contact us.

I plan to dig on my property. How do I get my sewer line marked?

By law, anyone planning to excavate is required to call and request that utilities be marked.  This is done by calling 811 or 1-800-344-7483. The Missouri One Call website can be accessed HERE for more information. Notification is required at least three working days before the proposed excavation except in the case of an emergency.

PLEASE NOTE:  SVSD will only mark the sewer main and any manholes in the area. The line from the main to the home is the responsibility of the homeowner. Selma Village Sewer District is not responsible for marking the customer's service line.

How could I have used this much water?

You could possibly have a leaky toilet or faucet that's difficult to detect. Just call the office and we'll work with you to help solve the problem.

Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment?

We may have received it after the due date or we may not have received it at all. Selma Village Sewer District is not responsible for the performance of the U.S. Postal Service. Call our office and we will help you solve the problem.
